Mila and Olivia running across the Ultimate Hoops logo at the league's Minneapolis corporate office. The Bedroom Floor, one generation later.

June 2001. Tuscany. A sunset bleeding red and orange across the sky.

That is where this series began. A flip phone. My parents’ voices from half a world away. A conversation I cannot remember a word of, and have spent twenty-five years trying to.

Three weeks later the phone rang at 4 a.m. in my New York City apartment, and the world I knew ended in a gas station parking lot in Minnesota.

Twenty-five years ago this year, I lost my dad. Twenty years ago this year, Ultimate Hoops tipped off its first game. Those two dates are not lost on me. One is the reason the other exists. Every Session in this series has been the story of the distance between them.

This is the last track.
